Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in partnership with the Regional Arts & Culture Council, presents Copyright Fundamentals for Creatives. 

This workshop provides valuable information on the fundamentals of basic copyright protection, including copyright ability of works, ownership (initial ownership; transfers; works-for-hire), registration, infringement and remedies, and fair use. Through this workshop you will gain a basic understanding of copyright law and learn how to protect your work.

Presenter: 

Kohel Haver received his JD from the Northwestern Law School at Lewis & Clark College, and he is currently a partner at Swider Haver LLP. Haver practices in the areas working with creative people and the arts, including a specialty in copyright and related intellectual property, technology, and business law. He has been serving the arts community for all of his professional life, including service on the boards of directors for community and arts based programs nationwide.
